SADDLE UP & RIDE

The best way to take in the landscape’s natural beauty is from the saddle of one of our mustang, draft-cross, and western pleasure horses for a guided horseback ride. No matter your riding experience or ability level, we offer instruction for all guests ages eight and up.

Don’t wait until summer to make a splash. With sunny skies 300 days a year, poolside fun is always possible at Brasada Ranch. Spend your spring break swimming in our heated indoor or outdoor pools and spas, or take a ride on our waterslide. For the grown-ups, our adults-only Cascade pool is a serene spot to kick back and enjoy a cocktail.

LITTLE BUCKAROOS CAMP

Dress up like a buckaroo and take a scenic hay wagon ride to the Equestrian Center to meet, feed, and brush our horses, take a tour of our equestrian barn, enjoy a fun pony ride, and even take your turn at roping. Hop back in the wagon for a ride to dinner and compete in a stick horse rodeo in this fully supervised event.

 

YOUTH CAMPS

Keep the young ones engaged with a full calendar of youth-oriented programming that makes the most of our warmer weather over Spring Break. From Reel Good Fishing Camp and arts and crafts to cooking lessons and kids golf clinics, guests aged 5–12 are sure to discover diversions that inspire and delight.

 

STARGAZING NIGHTS

Out in the open wild, it’s so much easier to see the stars—and the dark and crystal-clear skies of spring over Brasada Ranch are no exception. Using a state-of-the-art computerized telescope, the astronomy team from The Oregon Observatory takes you on a guided tour of the constellations, inviting you to share unparalleled views of the moon, planets, and Milky Way galaxy.

 

EASTER WEEKEND

Make some family memories with a delicious regionally inspired brunch at Range Restaurant & Bar, followed by a candy egg hunt on the lawn for the little ones. Expect a surprise visit from the Easter Bunny and plenty of opportunities to snap some adorable photos.

 

JUNIOR GOLF CLINICS

This spring break, junior golfers can supercharge their game at our fun and educational youth golf clinic. Mixing practice stations, contests, and time on the golf course, they’ll learn fundamentals like proper form, putting techniques, course etiquette, and more.

TODD LAKE

This easy 1.7-mile loop provides incredible views of Mt. Bachelor in the spring and is a great spot for outdoor activities like kayaking, running, fly fishing, and wildflower-filled walks.

 

DESCHUTES RIVER TRAIL

April through May is prime time for this 3.1-mile trail, ideal for runners, hikers, and cyclists of all levels. Bring your dog and enjoy a relaxing day beside the tranquil river.

 

SMITH ROCK

Bask in a splendid sunrise as you take an early morning hike up Misery Ridge, or travel along Crooked River in the afternoon to catch the sunset. This set of trails is much less crowded in spring, so there’s plenty of space to explore. For seasoned rock-climbers, this is also one of the best spots to scale in the nation.

 

GREEN LAKES TRAIL

This 9-mile round-trip trek is a must for avid hikers and their four-legged companions. As a moderate to challenging hike, it’s highly recommended for anyone looking to backpack and fish in the spring season.

PETERSON RIDGE TRAIL

This family-friendly network of loops is one of the area’s most-loved mountain-biking routes. With lots of picnic tables along the way, we recommend packing some snacks from the General Store so you can stop and enjoy the views.

 

NORTH FORK OF TUMALO CREEK

Packed with sweeping vistas, you can ride this exceptionally scenic route in under two hours. However, we suggest taking your time and bringing a picnic so you can fully appreciate this trail’s lush greenery and stunning waterfalls.

 

METOLIUS RIVER LOOPS

In spring, this 24-mile trail promises clear skies and plenty of rest-stops so you can take in the crystal-clear water of the Metolius River while you wind your way through majestic pine forests.

 

SISTERS TO SMITH ROCK SCENIC BYWAY

Take an Old West-style tour of the region, starting in the small town of Sisters. Follow the 37-mile road to Smith Rock in Terrebonne, enjoying spring’s blue skies and unparalleled vistas all the way.

Go on a self-guided tour across seven territories to discover the best beers in central Oregon.
